typically you gain weight by consuming more calories than you’re burning. but sometimes poor weight gain can be a sign of an underlying disorder. for instance, your calories are absorbed in your small bowel/intestines. if you have a malabsorption problem, you probably wouldn’t gain no matter what you’re eating because it’s not being absorbed. you should probably see a doctor. do you exercise, you might could try to cut down your exercise & increase your diet more.
