I want to go on the pill cos i have bad period pains but ive heard it makes you put on weight, is this true?

Iv been on & off different types of the pill for over a year, each one is the combined pill an makes me put weight on.
Is there a pill that doesnt make you gain weight?
I tried the depot injection for about a year & it doesnt work for me as it makes me bleed constantly.
I really dont like the idea of implants.
what else can I try?
