Healthy Weight Gain & Exercise?

I’m a 19 year old female, only 5′2 & weigh around 108lbs. My doctor wants me to gain weight (up to 115), but I’m also on an exercise routine in order to build up my muscle strength & endurance. (I plan on attending a police academy in the near future & will need to be able to pass the physical parts of the test). All I seem to read online is “If you’re hungry, eat. If you’re not hungry, eat.” If I eat when I’m not hungry, it makes me sick. I’m taking a multi-vitamin everyday, but I don’t eat much & I’m afraid I’ll lose weight the more I exercise. Any ideas?

I Work Out Really Hard And Eat A Healthy Diet And I’m Still Gaining Weight. How Is That Possible?

I’ve been trying to lose weight for the past 7 months. I did lose about 20 pounds in the first four months just dieting. Right now I am still considered a few pounds overweight, so I do still have weight to lose. I stepped up my exercise regimen two months ago & I now run 20-30 miles a week. I eat around 1200-1500 calories a day, so I’m not starving myself but I’m not overeating either. And I eat mostly healthy things. I do have coffee daily & I drink alcohol on one weekend night per week. This week I ran 32 miles & maintained my diet, & I still gained 5 pounds. I’m not pre-menstrual. How is it possible that I gained weight? I can understand a plateau (which I’ve been on for the past two months, not gaining or losing) but I don’t understand how I can possibly be gaining weight. It’s VERY frustrating. Please help me understand this! :(

Will I Loose Weight If I Am Exercising And Eating Healthy?

If I am running everday about 4-6 miles a day & doing 7 miles on the bike. Also taking yoga twice a week, eating very healthy with no carbs, & going in the sauna twice a week. I am on the birth control patch & wondering if it is making me gain weight. But if i workout & eat well should i loose this weight fast?

Is Spaghetti Healthy If I Want To Gain Weight?

i LOVE spaghetti…and im also on a 5000 calorie diet cuz i need to gain weight(so this should be good)…i know they say eat whole wheat/grain items for good health instead of white breads/pastas/rice but still in moderation if u are dieting so if i ate LOTS of whole wheat pasta & merinara sauce, would that put some weight on me? would it be healthy? would it just give me a fat stomach(i already look pregnant) or spread evenly?
and why do people say carbs are so bad anyways if they give u energy & keep ur body from using protein(muscle)
so are lots of complex carbs(pasta) healthy for gaining weight?
is there also a way i can gain some weight temporarily?

Is There A Healthy Way To Gain Weight While Breastfeeding?

I’m breastfeeding my four month old daughter & am starting notice that I am fading away, to paint a picture I’m 165cm & weigh 45kg so it’s an unhealthy weight for me to be at.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this & if they did how did they go about gaining extra weight in a healthy way?
I’ve tried just about everything I can think of, increased my red meet intake & tried eating more during the day, I currently eat 3 meals a day, usually toast for breakfast, a banana smoothie & a sandwich for lunch & generally some pasta meet & veggies for tea. I also snack throughout the day usually on fruit.
I do exercise but not at the gym I walk a lot & live on the third floor so I go up & down four flights of stairs with the pram every other day.
Is there anything extra I should be doing? Or any way I can gain weight without compromising my breast milk? I want to do it as healthily as possible.
