I think i eat healthy for my age
Im trying to keep fit, & lose unnessary weight
Breakfast
-cantalope slices
-cheerios with 1% milk
-6 almonds
-half a glass of 1% milk other half went in the bowl
Snack
-apple
Lunch
-Multigrain sandwich with 2 slices of turkey & lettuce & tomatoes , no mayo
Track Meet
after the meet
i had an orange & 5 almonds
then i had dinner
-3 spoonfulls of rice
-indian fish fry
-indian sidedish [ethhaka curry] its like plantain curry lol
-and 15 carrots
was this a healthy day im 15 & for dinner i have to have an indian dish cuz there is really nothing else.
anything i can add or delete?
i hear its good to eat fruit before a meal is that true?
if so can someone arrange my diet?
will i gain any weight from they way i ate today?

I Work Out Really Hard And Eat A Healthy Diet And I’m Still Gaining Weight. How Is That Possible?
I’ve been trying to lose weight for the past 7 months. I did lose about 20 pounds in the first four months just dieting. Right now I am still considered a few pounds overweight, so I do still have weight to lose. I stepped up my exercise regimen two months ago & I now run 20-30 miles a week. I eat around 1200-1500 calories a day, so I’m not starving myself but I’m not overeating either. And I eat mostly healthy things. I do have coffee daily & I drink alcohol on one weekend night per week. This week I ran 32 miles & maintained my diet, & I still gained 5 pounds. I’m not pre-menstrual. How is it possible that I gained weight? I can understand a plateau (which I’ve been on for the past two months, not gaining or losing) but I don’t understand how I can possibly be gaining weight. It’s VERY frustrating. Please help me understand this!

i LOVE spaghetti…and im also on a 5000 calorie diet cuz i need to gain weight(so this should be good)…i know they say eat whole wheat/grain items for good health instead of white breads/pastas/rice but still in moderation if u are dieting so if i ate LOTS of whole wheat pasta & merinara sauce, would that put some weight on me? would it be healthy? would it just give me a fat stomach(i already look pregnant) or spread evenly?

Healthy Eating/weight Gain In Pregnancy?
I have been eating healthy & 5-6 small meals a day per my nutrionists instructions. I lost 10 lbs at the beginning of my pregnancy & now I have gained 2 back I’m 31 weeks tomorrow. My nutrionist & midwife have not been concerned but I ended up seeing the high risk OB today because I’m “measuring small” & all my babies have been small (5 lbs 2 oz, 6 lbs 4 oz, 7 lbs, & 5 lbs 14 oz) I have a history of miscarriage, low amniotic fluid, & IUGR. The OB really wants me to try to gain 8 pounds in the next few weeks. His suggestion was see my nutrionist & until then eat ice cream! I’m not trying to not gain weight but don’t like the idea of eating a ton of ice cream until I can get in with my nutrionist (in 2 weeks) any suggestions for high calorie good for you foods that I could add to my diet?

I have been gaining a lot of weight lately, & from a diet standpoint I need to know what I’m doing wrong. My personal trainer I had last year told me I needed to eat more frequently throughout the day, but eat smaller portions…and that I should concentrate on proteins & whole grain carbs. Here is what I typically do during the work week.
4 am (start of my work day) – 1 Special K Cereal bar & 1 Peanut Butter Granola Bar.
6 am – Banana
8 am – Snack on plain pork rinds (no carbs)
10 am – 1 string cheese
11 am – Peanut butter & jelly sanwhich on whole grain bread, 1 sugar free pudding, 1 non-fat yogurt, 1 string cheese.
Dinner can vary…sometimes it’s healthy like grilled chicken & peas, but tonight it was Wendy’s out of conveinence.
I was down to 218lbs only a few months ago, & now I’m pushing 240 & I keep going up….I no longer have a trainer, & I’m only working out about twice a week. Besides increasing the exercise…is there something wrong with my diet?

I eat very little as it is & my diet is healthy, yet I still gain weight. It’s enough to cause depression in & of itself. Topamax helped for awhile, but now it’s to the point where the only dosage that will help will also make me so stupid (ie cognitive side effects) that I might as well not get out of bed in the morning.

How Do I Stop This Weight Gain?
Some of you are going to be immature enough to make fun of me, but this is a very serious matter. I am wondering if anyone has had or know of anyone with this problem:
I have been gaining weight like crazy. When I first realized this, it was about a year ago…and I had gained about 5 lbs in a couple of weeks. That was shocking to me, but not too tramatic. I decided to excercise a little more, adding 15 more mins to my walking per day, & 15 mins to my cardio 3 times a week. Nothing…as a matter of fact, I gained more weight. My diet never changed for the worse. I did not eat anymore nor did I eat anything unhealthy. BUT, I decided to cut the carbs almost completely & increased cardio by 5 more mins 3 times per week, leaving my walking the same. Still I gained. I thought I was pregnant…(missed my cycle), & wasn’t. I have continued to gain. I have gained a LOT in the last yr, & 35 lbs since Sept in spite of a healthy diet & regular excercise. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? HELP!!
